“Doctor Stranger”

tells the gripping story of Park Hoon, a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon who was raised in North Korea.

During the Korean War, his father, a renowned surgeon, was sent to the North to perform a critical operation on Kim Il Sung. However, they were subsequently denied permission to return to South Korea, becoming trapped in the isolated nation.

In North Korea, Park Hoon honed his surgical skills under his father’s tutelage, while secretly engaging in smuggling activities to survive, particularly trading South Korean K-pop DVDs. He also fell deeply in love with Song Jae-hee.

Tragically, his father passed away, and his attempt to escape to the South with Jae-hee failed. He managed to flee alone, leaving his love behind.

Years later, Park Hoon returns to South Korea and secures a position at Myungwoo University Hospital, the very institution that betrayed his father. There, he encounters Dr. Han Seung-hee, a woman who bears an uncanny resemblance to his lost love, Jae-hee.

Meanwhile, Lee Sung-hoon, driven by a decade-old grudge against the hospital for his father’s death in a medical malpractice case, plots his revenge.

“Doctor Stranger” is a captivating medical drama that explores themes of love, loss, betrayal, and the enduring human spirit.
