This Korean film tells the story of Eun-shik,
a college student with a tendency to find himself in awkward situations, particularly when trying to impress his crush, Eun-hyo.
After returning from mandatory military service, Eun-shik enrolls in college and becomes roommates with a group of typical, and often perverted, freshmen. He first catches Eun-hyo’s attention with an unintentionally suggestive gesture, setting the stage for a series of awkward encounters.
Eun-hyo, an aspiring national aerobic athlete, initially finds Eun-shik amusing, but ultimately chooses to date Sang-ok, the most popular student on campus. However, Sang-ok proves to be emotionally immature and insensitive, leading to a painful breakup and a devastating decision.
Eun-shik, despite his initial awkwardness, emerges as a true friend, supporting Eun-hyo through her emotional and physical struggles. Their unlikely bond deepens as Eun-shik helps her recover, showcasing his genuine kindness and compassion.
The film explores themes of first love, heartbreak, friendship, and the complexities of navigating young adulthood.
